THE STANDARD IN FRP ODOR CONTROL SYSTEMS The DEEP BED OCS line of FRP odor control systems are designed to be a low cost, highly effective system for removing H2S and other odors from municipal wastewater applications. The systems can utilize a wide variety of absorbent medias and mixtures for the specific treatment needs. The DEEP BED OCS system provides the following benefits:

PROCESS DESCRIPTION
The DEEP BED OCS utilizes two basic designs as shown below. For single bed systems, the air enters the bottom and travels upward and is diffused through the media bed and exists the top. For dual bed systems, the air enters the center of the vessel and travels upward and downward and diffuses through both beds. The upward flow exits through the top and the downward flow exits through a collection duct that runs from the bottom through both beds and out the top. Both effluent stacks can be then ducted together for discharge.
SINGLE BED DUAL BED
For regenerable medias, once the system is saturated with H2S it is taken off-line and is regenerated with water. The regeneration process is as simple as turning a few valves. The water regeneration system is comprised of water connections on the vessel bottom and top. The water is run and is discharged until vessel is cleaned. Then a bottom drain valve is opened to drain the remaining water from the system. This process can be continued for many regeneration cycles until the vessel media activity is greatly reduced (usually two years).
SERVICEABILITY
The system is serviced by removing the manway. The media can then be removed if saturated and the media support screen can be inspected and replaced if required.

The DEEP BED OCS systems are built in either single or dual bed configuration depending on the treatment requirements. Here are the standard sizes for each: v 10ft diameter – Maximum flow of 6000 cfm v 12ft diameter – Maximum flow of 8500 cfm
v 8ft diameter – Maximum flow of 7500 cfm v 10ft diameter – Maximum flow of 12000 cfm v 12ft diameter – Maximum flow of 17000 cfm |
