DescriptionThe KI Impregnated Carbon is a 4 mm, pelletized carbon made from select grades of high quality coal, activated under rigid process control conditions to yield a strong, dense, very active product designed for vapor phase odor control application. This product is impregnated, double screened and dedusted in process and prior to packaging to assure a clean, hard, dust free product having a long service life. Its best performance is reached when some oxygen and water is present in the vapor. Specifications
Pressure DropSince the product is dedusted, clean and is of uniform size, the pressure drop is low; at 50 ft./min., the pressure drop is 0.9"/ft. and at 70 FPM it is 1.4"/ft. CAUTION: WET ACTIVATED CARBON DEPLETES OXYGEN FROM AIR. Whenever workers enter a vessel containing carbon, all precautions must be taken since dangerously low levels of oxygen may be encountered. Atmosphere sampling and work procedures for potentially low oxygen areas should be followed. |
