DESCRIPTION

The Coal Based Carbon series is made from select grades of high quality bituminous coal, activated at a high temperature in a steam atmosphere.  This product has a particle and pore structure that allows for rapid adsorption kinetics at medium to low differential pressure drop. This carbon works well for overall odor absorption especially organic vapors and lends itself well to reactivation.

PRESSURE DROP

For 4 x 6 mesh, the pressure drop is low; at 50 ft./min., the pressure drop is1.6"/ft. and at 70 FPM it is 2.6"/ft.

CAUTION: WET ACTIVATED CARBON DEPLETES OXYGEN FROM AIR.

Whenever workers enter a vessel containing carbon, all precautions must be taken since dangerously low levels of oxygen may be encountered.  Atmosphere sampling and work procedures for potentially low oxygen areas should be followed.
